Giant Scorpion Discovered in Germany
A huge sea scorpion fossil was recently discovered in a German quarry. This was no ordinary fossil. It was the remains of a giant scorpion who lived approximately 390 million years ago. This scorpion was about 8 feet long and much bigger than any scorpion that ever lived.

Simon Braddy, of the University of Bristol, explained that this means spiders, crabs and insects were much larger than previously thought.
“This is an amazing discovery” he reported. “We have known for some time that the fossil record yields monster millipedes, super-sized scorpions, colossal cockroaches and jumbo dragonflies, but we never realised until now just how big some of these ancient creepy crawlies were.”

It is definitely to big to step on…. or to smash with a newspaper.
Just make sure you keep that can of bug repellent handy.
