The Mystery Spot, Santa Cruz, California

I became engaged in a fascinating conversation at a party recently.

I was discussing The Bimwah Blog, with my long time friend, John S. I explained I wanted to discuss all types of weird, bizarre and strange people, places, and things.

That’s when he brought up The Mystery Spot, in Santa Cruz, California. He explained he had been there a number of years ago, but the experience was still haunting to him.

The Mystery Spot is a small but extremly powerful area. The laws of gravity do not apply while in the spot. “For example,” he went on, “you can place a level on the ground in front of you. You know that it is level. You can see the bubble in the middle. If someone stands on one side of the level, they seem to be much taller. If you switch places, then you are much taller. Weird”

“Another thing” he continued, “is that a ball will seem to roll up hill. And in   this building things are really, really weird”.

I was beginning to think John S. was pulling my leg. After all, he has been known to make up a tall tale ot two. That’s when Rob chimed in. I knew he had lived in Santa Cruz, many years ago.

“It’s all true,” he said. “This place had an incredible energy. This may be one of the power centers of the universe. It really is an energy spot”

So I did some investigating of my own. There is indeed a Myster Spot and they have there own official Mystery Spot website.

Here is how it is described:

The Mystery Spot is a gravitational anomaly located in the redwood forests just outside of Santa Cruz, California. It is a circular area of effect around 150 feet or 46 meters in diameter. Within the Mystery Spot you will be stunned as your perceptions of the laws of physics and gravity are questioned. But don’t take our word for it, come and decide for yourself!”

There is no spot, like the Mystery Spot.                 More Mystery at The Spot

Now I’m not saying this is real or not, but I am saying it is quite a mystery. Some people claim to be light headed, while others get headaches from being here.

I am putting this place as on my list of places to visit the next time I am near Santa Cruz.

Here is the official website: Click Here.

If you have been to The Mystery Spot I would greatly appreciate your comments.
